On the evening of June 9th, 2015, the 2014 NJCAA Division III Women's Soccer National Champions were honored in a ring ceremony presentation, as the Brookdale Jersey Blues relived their historic feat. The only Brookdale program to win back-to-back National titles, the 2014 squad became the sixth National title on the Brookdale campus (softball – 2002, 2005, 2010; men's basketball – 2013; women's soccer – 2013, 2014).
Held at Porta in Asbury Park, many campus dignitaries were on-site to join in on the festivities. President Maureen Murphy and director of athletics Shawn Noël gave the group of friends and family warm words of welcome, while Freeholder John Curley congratulated the team and presented each student-athlete with a certificate of appreciation from the County of Monmouth. Assemblywoman Caroline Casagrande had a proclamation of the team's accomplishment crafted from the New Jersey State Assembly and it was on display, alongside the National championship trophy. Head coach of the softball team and three-time National champion, Bo Scannapieco, also spoke on behalf of the department, sharing words of Blues pride and other congratulatory remarks.
After head coach, and two-time National Coach of the Year, Katie Miller enthralled the crowd with her spirited season recap, she, along with Noël, presented each player with a championship ring.
To earn its second-consecutive National title, the Jersey Blues defeated Richland (TX) 1-0 in overtime of the championship game, hosted on the campus of Ocean County College.
