Blackwood, NJ- For the second-consecutive week, freshman Ashley Cafarella has been named the Garden State Athletic Conference women's soccer player of the week.  Cafarella once again dominated play, scoring two goals in each of Brookdale's two wins. 

In serving Union County College its first loss on the year, a 3-0 victory for the Blues, the midfielder scored twice.  She then found the back of the net another two times in the 6-1 win over Cumberland.  Cafarella's honor marks the fourth time in the last five weeks a Brookdale player has been named the GSAC Player of the Week (Caroline Duerr – Sept. 8, Brooke Tartis – Sept. 23, Cafarella – Sept. 30 and Oct. 6).
