Brookdale Advances to National Championship Game on Penalty Kicks

Dryden, NY- Brookdale  played to a 0-0 tie but was able to advance on penalty kicks 3-2 over Howard CC. The Jersey Blues played a grueling 110 minute semi- final game vs Howard CC overcoming the frigid temperatures of Dryden, NY.  Brookdale had their chances throughout the game but were unable to capitalize.  Tied at 2-2 after the first set of PK's (Alexa Masino and Chelsea James scored the first two), Brookdale's Sophomore Defender Caitlin Fisher (Howell, NJ: Howell High School) drilled the game winner in the left upper 90 of the goal going up 3-2 in PK's. Sophomore goalkeeper  Erin Kinneman (Aberdeen, NJ: Matawan Regional High School) made the heroic save of Howard's PK attempt to clinch the win to send the Jersey Blues to the Championship game of the NJCAA Division III National Championship Tournament.
