Blues Women Narrowly Escape The Atlantic Cape Buccaneers, 62-60
Lincroft, NJ - The Jersey Blues women's basketball team managed to squeeze by the Atlantic Cape Community College Buccaneers, 62-60, with just seconds remaining after leading by as much as nineteen points.
Lincroft, NJ - The Jersey Blues women's basketball team managed to squeeze by the Atlantic Cape Community College Buccaneers, 62-60, with just seconds remaining after leading by as much as nineteen points.
The Buccaneers were low on reserve players, but were resilient and feisty in their defense with half court traps to create turnovers and points on their end in the fourth quarter. Leading the Blues in the dramatic win was sophomore guard, Ryann Bannerman, with 19 points and four steals. Also in double digits were sophomore guard, Camila Garcia, with 16 points, and sophomore center, Madison Fernandez, who connected for a double-double with 10 points, 16 rebounds, and five assists.
Brookdale (6-2) will travel for their next game against the Camden County College Cougars on Saturday, December, 7th, for a 12:00pm start.
