Lincroft, NJ - The Brookdale women's basketball team looked good on the floor for their season opener against the Community College of Philadelphia Lions, but came up a few rebounds and points short, losing 53-50.
Leading the Jersey Blues pack was sophomore guard, Ashley Ventura (Elizabeth High School), with 23 points and four steals. Scoring 15 points to help the Blues was freshman guard, Emily O'Keefe (Matawan High School), and freshman forward, Madison Fernandez (Keansburg High School), added 10 points.
Brookdale will travel to Newton, NJ, to challenge the Sussex County Community College Skylanders on Thursday, November 30th, at 5:00pm.
