Brookdale Women Lose A Tough Battle In Season Opener At Anne Arundel
Arnold, MD - The Jersey Blues fought a tough battle against Anne Arundel Community College Saturday afternoon losing their season opener, 78-64. Brookdale jumped out to an early lead, but the Riverhawks had a strong second quarter, hitting for 28 points while taking the lead going into the second half, 41-37.

Sophomore center Jessica Poplawski lead the Jersey Blues with 16 points, eight steals, and seven rebounds. Teammate freshman guard, Gianna Piccini gathered 14 points and eight rebounds, while fellow freshman point guard Melissa Golembieski tallied 13 points and seven assists on the afternoon.
The Blues, 0-1, will remain in Maryland on Sunday, November 3rd, to play the Owls of Prince George's Community College at 1:00pm.
