Women's Basketball Captures Third Place At National Tournament; Team Receives Sportsmanship Award
Rochester, MN- Brookdale downed Anoka Ramsey, 64-49, to clinch third place in the Women's NJCAA National Basketball Tournament. The Jersey Blues led 28-17 at the half and built the lead to 21 points in the second half. Leading scorer, sophomore guard Marina Lukianov tallied 13 points for the Blues.

Freshman forward Jasma Stanback contributed 10 points to the teams, 64. Sophomore center Samantha Carlson was named to the All-Tournament Team.
Along with the third place finish, Brookdale received the sportsmanship award for the tournament.
The team finished up the 2013-14 season, 31-3 overall and 18-0 in conference play.
