The women's basketball team came out hard against Sussex County Community College and beat them 65-42. The Jersey Blues led with a score of 34-14 after the first half.
Sophomore center Samantha Carlson scored 17 points and had 10 rebounds. Sophomore guard Jazmin Palma added 13 points and 4 steals. Sophomore forward Nadya Szaniszlo contributed 6 points and grabbed 10 rebounds while Freshman guard Paxton Reddington put up 13 points.
The victory ends the first half season for Brookdale and improves their record to 10-2 on the season. The Jersey Blues start the second half of the season at home versus Cumberland C.C. on Monday, January 6th beginning at 4:00 pm.
