Lincroft, NJ - Brookdale softball split their doubleheader with the #4 nationally ranked RCSJ-Gloucester Roadrunners with scores of 3-2, 11-0.
Brookdale got off to a crucial first inning jump on the Roadrunners with sophomore catcher, Jessica Fay, smacking a two-run double and then freshman center fielder, Jaylen Campbell, coming through in the fifth with an RBI single. Freshman, Jules Hart, won it in the circle for the Blues, allowing just three hits and striking out seven.
Game-two did not shake out the same for the Jersey Blues. Even though they had five hits to the previous six in the first game, they could not produce runs.
The Jersey Blues (10-2) will travel to Carney's Point, NJ to take down the Salem Community College Mighty Oaks on Friday, March 21st at 3:30pm.
