Lincroft, NJ - Brookdale softball split a pair with the DII CCBC Catonsville Cardinals, 4-2, 13-2, improving their overall record to 7-6.
Sophomore winning pitcher, Mallory Shevlin (7-2) took are of business in the 4-2 win, allowing one earned run and eight strikeouts in 7.0 innings. In her plate appearance, Shevlin went 3-for-3, including a double for two RBI's. Freshman first baseman, Audra Lowe and freshman center fielder, Jillian Fay, each hit a double as well in the win.
In the 13-2 second game loss, there were a pair of hits from freshman left fielder, Abbey Ford, and freshman third baseman, Jamie Vigil.
The Jersey Blues (7-6) will remain on their home field to play the Ocean County College Vikings on Thursday, April 12th, at 4:00pm.
