West Windsor, NJ - The DII Mercer County Community College Vikings claimed two victories over the Brookdale Jersey Blues softball crew, 6-0, 17-0.
In the game one 6-0 loss, sophomore Mallory Shevlin, threw for 6.0 innings, allowing five earned runs and nine strikeouts in her battle in the circle. Freshman third baseman, Jamie Vigil, got the sole hit of the day from her 1-2 at bats.
Game two brought a few more hits as Vigil added her second of the day, Shevlin batted 1-2, and freshman left fielder, Sara Nazzaro, went 1-2.
Brookdale (1-4) hosts their first home opener double-header against the RCSJ-Cumberland Dukes on Saturday, March 30th, beginning at 12:00pm.
