Carney's Point, NJ - It was a beautiful day for a pair of wins as the Brookdale Jersey Blues swept the DII Salem Community College Mighty Oaks, 9-1, 5-4, to finish their regular season. 

Sophomore pitcher, Gianna Praet, lit it up in the first game earning her 16th win on the season with one earned run and nine strikeouts. Praet reached her 300th career strikeout as a Jersey Blue and leads Region 19 in ERA's at 1.70. Sophomore center fielder, Alyssa Sigler, batted 2-for-4 including a go-ahead three-run double in the 4th inning, and freshman catcher, Sydney Rawlings went 2-for-4 with three RBI's. Sophomore right fielder, Ana Marziano added a two-run single. 
 
In game two, freshman stud pitcher, Mallory Shevlin, did a job on the rubber, throwing her 14th win including one earned run and six strikeouts. Alyssa Sigler kept her bat hot from game one as she hit 2-for-4 and pounded a game-winning two-run homer in the 6th inning. Sophomore catcher, Zoey Hagan, added a two-run single in the 5th inning off of her 2-for-4 chances at the plate, and freshman first baseman, Sydney Rawlings, assisted the Blues with two hits for the win. 
 
Brookdale is Region 19's top seed and will play this weeks winner of the #4 Sussex County Community College Skylanders and #5 RCSJ-Cumberland Dukes game in a best-of-three-game series for the Region XIX North Atlantic Division A Championship, hosted by Brookdale on Saturday, May 13th, beginning at 12:00pm.
