Lincroft, NJ - Jersey Blues softball notched their 10 game winning streak after defeating the DII Raritan Valley Community College Lions, 14-0, 13-0.
Brookdale scored 10 in just the first two innings of the 14-0 win with the help of freshman catcher, Sydney Rawlings, batting 3-for-3 with three RBI's, sophomore first baseman, Kelli Tuttle, followed with 3-for-3 and two RBI's. Sophomore center fielder, Alyssa Sigler, had two runs score of of her 2-for-3 at bats. Earning her 15th win with a two-hitter and 11 strikeouts was sophomore, Gianna Praet.
In the 13-0 win, freshman pitcher, Mallory Shevlin, windmilled her 13th win of the season with a one-hitter while posting 12 strikeouts. Sophomore designated player, Nicolette Pavlik, was huge in game-two, hitting 2-for-3 for a two-run homer in the 2nd inning, then busted a two-run double in the 4th for four RBI's. Then sophomore third baseman, Zoey Hagan, powerhoused two triples for two RBI's in her 3-for-3 at bats.
Brookdale is currently 29-7 overall, 15-1 in Region 19, and 11-1 in the Garden State Athletic Conference. Their next opponent is the Chesapeake College Skipjacks at home on Tuesday, May 2nd, at 3:00pm.
