Blues Softball Squeezes DII Orange For Two Wins
Lincroft, NJ - The Jersey Blues squeezed the DII SUNY Orange County Community College Colts out of two games, 8-2, and 10-3, to improve their overall record to 4-2.

Lincroft, NJ - The Jersey Blues squeezed the SUNY Orange County Community College Colts out of two games, 8-2, and 10-3, to improve their overall record to 4-2.
In game one highlights, freshman pitcher, Mallory Shevlin and sophomore shortstop, Gianna Praet, both went 2-for-4, adding two RBI's. Sophomore center fielder, Alyssa Sigler, incresased her batting average with 3-for-4 hits, adding an RBI, and sophomore catcher, Zoey Hagan, had a double and triple with an RBI. Winning pitcher, Mallory Shevlin posted a strong performance with 10 strikeouts and one earned run in seven pitched innings.
In the spotlight for game two, all with two hits were, Alyssa Sigler, right fielder, Mallory Shevlin, freshman catcher, Sydney Rawlings, freshman first baseman, Brittany Campbell, and sophomore DP, Kelli Tuttle. Tuttle stroked two doubles, and third baseman, Zoey Hagan, added an RBI triple. Sophomore, Gianna Praet, was the centerpiece in the circle with two earned runs and seven strikeouts.
Brookdale plays again on Thursday, March 30th, for a conference match-up against the RCSJ - Cumberland Dukes, beginning at 3:30pm in Vineland, NJ.
