Branchburg, NJ - The Brookdale softball squad grabbed a win out of two games against DII Raritan Valley Community College Golden Lions as they head into the tail end of their season.
The Jersey Blues won the first game 14-10 with a nice nine run rally in the 7th inning. Crucial hits came from freshman right fielder, Charlotte Piper, and freshman center fielder, Amaya Marrero, who each had two run doubles, and RBI singles by freshman left fielder, Madison Parrish, and freshman first baseman, Adriana Noterile. Freshman, Gianna Praet, won her 13th game as starting pitcher, earning seven strikeouts.
The Blues (28-10) took a second game, 3-2 loss. Freshman third baseman supplied both RBI's with a double and a single, and freshman left fielder, Ana Marziano, batted 2-3.
