Newton, NJ - The Brookdale Jersey Blues defeated the Sussex County Community College Skylanders in a 8-0, 12-4, conference double-header over the weekend.
Winning pitcher in the 8-0 victory was given to freshman, Adriana Noterile, with her one hitter and five strikeouts. Freshman right fielder, Ana Marziano (3-3), smacked a double and two singles for four RBI's, and freshman first baseman, Charlotte Piper, also hit 3-3 with a double and two singles as three runs were scored.
In game two, Charlotte Piper, went 3-4, connecting for a triple and two singles with two RBI's, and three runs scored. Adriana Noterile was spotlighted at bat this game, as she went 2-4, adding three RBI's. There were four freshman who batted 2-4 with one RBI a piece including, right fielder, Amaya Marrero, third baseman, Nicolette Pavlik, and catcher Zoey Hagan. The winning pitcher in the 12-4 win was awarded to Charlotte Piper.
The Jersey Blues (18-6) are off to Branchburg, NJ, to play the Raritan Valley Community College Golden Lions, on Tuesday, April 19th, beginning at 3:30pm.
