Brookdale Softball Splits With Sussex Skylanders
Newtown, NJ - The Brookdale softball team split their double header on the road against the Sussex County Skylanders. The Jersey Blues won their first game, 13-7, then lost the second game as well as the daylight in the sixth inning to finish 11-9. Freshman winning left-hand pitcher, Charlotte Piper, had four strikeouts.

Newtown, NJ - The Brookdale softball team split their double header on the road against the Sussex County Skylanders. The Jersey Blues won their first game, 13-7, then lost the second game (as well as the daylight), in the fifth inning to finish 11-9. Freshman winning left-hand pitcher, Charlotte Piper, had four strikeouts.
In game one, freshman Zoey Hagan, blasted a two-run homer which drove in four RBI's. Freshman utility player, Kiliko Lowe, pulled in another three RBI's with her three hits. Following Lowe, freshman Nicolette Pavlik also churned three hits and added an RBI for the victory.
Game two panned out a bit different with the game ending in the fifth inning due to darkness. Infielder Zoey Hagan contined her RBI streak by hitting 2-4, adding another two. Remaining hot at the plate was infielder Nicolette Pavlik who went 2-3, including a solo homer, adding two RBI's. Sophomore utility player, Julia Canal also contributed a two-run double, but it wasn't enough for the Blues' 11-9 loss.
The Jersey Blues are currently 1-3 overall and will return home to face the County College of Morris Titans on Saturday, April 10th for two games starting at 12:00pm.
