Jersey Blues Bond Story - Morgan Schweitzer & Sara Vocisano

Lincroft, NJ - The Jersey Blues softball program have produced some amazing players and earned many championships, but more importantly, it has created special relationships. Brookdale graduates from 2015, Morgan Schweitzer and Sara Vocisano, are one of the many Jersey Blue Bond stories that were formed and continue today. Here is their story.. 

"Brookdale was, and will always be a major part of my life. I was able to connect with so many great people that I am still in contact with today! One of them being my best friend, Sara Vocisano (AKA Vooch). In 2013 we both became members of the Jersey Blues women's softball team where we were led by the one and only, Coach Bo Scannapieco (big shout out!!!), ringing in two regional championships in 2014 and 2015. 

From Brookdale, Vooch went on to play for the Cougars at Kean University, and I went to play for the Raiders at Rutgers-Newark. Even though we were rivals on the field, we were still best friends through it all. I still remember the 2017 playoff game, Cougars vs Raiders. I hit a two-run homer to tie up the game and while rounding 3rd I saw Vooch celebrating in the Cougars dug out as her team looked puzzled as to why she was cheering the opposite team! Great memories that will never be forgotten, all thanks to the Jersey Blues!" ~ Morgan Schweitzer
