Bel Air MD, - Sophomore outfielder Tori Lucarelli sparked Brookdale's comeback in the sixth inning to take the win from Harford Community College, 11-9.
Freshman outfielder Felicia Kuegler posted a two-run single while freshman third baseman Shakyra Moore launched a two-run homer and an RBI single also in the sixth inning to highlight the team's rally back to the top.
Moore is currently leading the nation in home runs with 15.
Also on the offensive, sophomore shortstop Alyssa Raimondo connected four times as sophomore pitcher Jessica Pszeniczny gets her 12th win in relief, tossing three innings for one hit.
Game two was canceled due to weather. With the win, the team improves to 25-8 and will next travel to Bucks County Community College on Saturday, April 13th beginning at noon. This will be Brookdale's fifth two-game series in a row.
