Myrtle Beach, SC - Freshman shortstop Alyssa Vetrano crushed a grand slam against Finger Lakes Community College. Brookdale recorded the 12-4 victory in five innings in game two action.
Sophomore second baseman Alyssa Raimondo ripped a three-run homer and totaled five RBI's. Freshman pitcher Katy McGovern earned the win from the mound.
The Blues were defeated in game one, 3-2 by North Central Missouri College. Freshman third baseman Tara Daukshus and sophomore left-fielder Carley Layton posted RBI singles.
The team's record improves to 6-2 and Brookdale will return to the ball park in North Carolina on Tuesday, March 18th to face Southeastern Community College for a doubleheader beginning at 1pm.
