Softball Takes Fifth Place At The National Tournament
Rochester, MN- The Brookdale softball team finished fifth at the NJCAA Division III National Tournament. The Jersey Blues fell to the Vikings of Hudson Valley Community College, 3-2. Freshman shortstop Cassie Varvaro recorded two hits and one stolen base.

Rochester, MN- The Brookdale softball team finished fifth at the NJCAA Division III National Tournament. The Jersey Blues fell to the Vikings of Hudson Valley Community College, 3-2. Freshman shortstop Cassie Varvaro recorded two hits and one stolen base.
Sophomore outfielder Sara Vocisano and freshman second baseman Taylor Sheridan each posted an RBI single for the team. Vocisano was also named to the All-Tournament team.
In the fifth place game, the Jersey Blues downed the Dukes of Cumberland County College, 5-1. Sophomore outfielder Alexandra Clayton tallied one hit, one RBI and one sac-fly while sophomore designated hitter Courtney Semkewyc contributed an RBI single. Freshman outfielder Amanda Pringle posted three hits and stole one base.
Brookdale ends the 2015 season, 34-16 and finishes fifth in the nation.
