Softball Splits With Mercer; Semkewyc and Pearson Knock Out Solo Home Runs
Lincroft, NJ- The Brookdale softball team split with Mercer County Community College in today's doubleheader. In game one, the Blues downed the Vikings, 4-1. Sophomore Samantha Hosey pitched for the win. She tallied 3 strikeouts and 6 scattered hits. Freshman outfielder Courtney Semkewyc and sophomore Krystal Pearson knocked out a solo home run apiece while freshman outfielder Sara Vocisano ripped an RBI double.

Freshman outfielder Courtney Semkewyc and sophomore Krystal Pearson knocked out a solo home run apiece while freshman outfielder Sara Vocisano ripped an RBI double.
In game two, the Vikings topped the Blues, 12-4. Sophomore outfielder Cassidy Brzozowski and freshman short stop Sara Case each went 2-3 with an RBI. Semkewyc contributed an RBI single.
The team returns to action on Saturday, May 3rd at Middlesex County College for the Region XIX Softball Tournament.
