Men's Cross Country Finishes 10th In NJCAA National Championship
Richmond, VA - The Brookdale Community College men's cross country team ran their best race of the season and best National Championship race in two years, finishing 10th overall in the NJCAA DIII 8k at Pole Green Park in Richmond, VA.
Richmond, VA - The Brookdale Community College men's cross country team ran their best race of the season and best National Championship race in two years, finishing 10th overall in the NJCAA DIII 8k at Pole Green Park in Richmond, VA.
The team was led by freshman, Gavin Tay, who placed 34th with a time of 29:11. The Jersey Blues had six runners run their best times ever beginning with freshman Andrew Lorig who finished 51st and tied his personal record of 30:00. Sophomore, Aiden Casucci came in 66th at 31:03, running the race of his life while finishing the race 1:46 faster than his personal record. Freshman Alex Carrillo crossed the line 11 seconds better than his best time at 31:23 for 73rd place, 35 seconds faster than his personal record at 31:25 for 76th place was freshman Jeremy Villagra-Castro, then freshman Harmon Hass coming in 80th for 31:36 and six seconds faster then his personal record. Rounding out the Jersey Blues crew was sophomore, Lance Bennette, who finished 90th in 32:28 and 1:18 faster than his personal record.
