Brookdale Men's Cross Country Performs In Paul Short Invitational
Bethlehem, NJ - On a picture perfect day, the Brookdale men's cross country team competed in the 50th Annual Paul Short Invitational on Lehigh University's Goodman Campus, which is one of the largest cross country meets in the nation.
Bethlehem, NJ - On a picture perfect day, the Brookdale men's cross country team competed in the 50th Annual Paul Short Invitational on Lehigh University's Goodman Campus, which is one of the largest cross country meets in the nation.
The Jersey Blues were highlighted by freshman Gavin Tay who ran the 8k in 30:29. Tay was followed by his teammate, freshman Andrew Lorig, who finished the race in 33:39. The Blues' third top finisher was freshman Harmon Hass who ran a 33:07. Setting personal best records were freshman Jeremy Villagra-Casto, who crossed the line in fourth at 33:26, and freshman Alex Carrillo in the 5th spot at 33:37.
In the 6th position was sophomore Aidan Casucci who finished at 34:15, and rounding out the scoring was freshman Diego Alva with a personal best record time of 34:18. Pushing forward running season bests were sophomores Jack Kratka and Lance Bennette, and freshman Carmine Isaac. Accomplishing personal best records were freshman Scott Hurst, and Matthew Freeman.
The next meet for Brookdale will be the NJIT Highlander Invitational in the beautiful Branch Brook Park of Newark, NJ on Saturday, October 12th, at 1:00pm.
