Men's Cross Country Run Their Best Performance At Nationals

Lincroft, NJ - The Brookdale men's cross country team participated in the NJCAA DIII National Championship at John Hunt Park in Huntsville, Alabama, and saved their best performance for their last, placing 12^th in the meet.

The team was once again led by sophomore captain Casey Brown (Point Pleasant Boro High School) who placed 38^th overall with a time of 29:14. The remaining Jersey Blues runners all finished with their best season or personal best times starting with sophomore team captain Matt Newman (Rumson-Fair Haven High School) who placed 64^th overall with a time of 31:26. Next was Jay Morris, a sophomore team captain from Monmouth Regional High School, who came in 68^th in 31:35. Freshman Isaias Usurin (Long Branch High School) placed 81^st and a time of 32:35. Freshman Aiden Casucci from Freehold Boro High School who placed 87^th overall and ran over a minute faster of his best with a time of 32:49. Freshman Lance Bennette  (Brick High School) placed 97^th with a lifetime best of 34:02. Rounding out the team was freshman Jack Kratka from Middletown South High School who placed 112^th in a time of 37:43.
