Men's Cross Country Run Their Best Performance At Nationals
Lincroft, NJ - The Brookdale men's cross country team participated in the NJCAA DIII National Championship at John Hunt Park in Huntsville, Alabama, and saved their best performance for their last, placing 12th in the meet.
Lincroft, NJ - The Brookdale men's cross country team participated in the NJCAA DIII National Championship at John Hunt Park in Huntsville, Alabama, and saved their best performance for their last, placing 12th in the meet.
The team was once again led by sophomore captain Casey Brown (Point Pleasant Boro High School) who placed 38th overall with a time of 29:14. The remaining Jersey Blues runners all finished with their best season or personal best times starting with sophomore team captain Matt Newman (Rumson-Fair Haven High School) who placed 64th overall with a time of 31:26. Next was Jay Morris, a sophomore team captain from Monmouth Regional High School, who came in 68th in 31:35. Freshman Isaias Usurin (Long Branch High School) placed 81st and a time of 32:35. Freshman Aiden Casucci from Freehold Boro High School who placed 87th overall and ran over a minute faster of his best with a time of 32:49. Freshman Lance Bennette (Brick High School) placed 97th with a lifetime best of 34:02. Rounding out the team was freshman Jack Kratka from Middletown South High School who placed 112th in a time of 37:43.
