A Trying Day For The Jersey Blues In Tri-Match Sweep

Toms River, NJ - The Brookdale men's volleyball team experienced a trying day after losing both matches in a conference tri-match with the Northampton Community College Spartans and the Ocean County College Vikings.

In the first game, the Spartans outscored the Jersey Blues 12-25, 25-15, 23-25, 18-25. Sophomore outside hitter, Gabriel Azevedo, sparked the Blues with 13 kills as freshman fellow outside hitter, Jacob Krol, put up with nine kills and four serving aces. Freshman middle hitter, Jahki Willis, fastened four kills and five blocked shots.

The game-two battle sweep against the Vikings presented scores of 17-25, 19-25, 19-25. Willis added six more kills and two blocked shots to his stats as Azevedo added six kills to his, and freshman middle hitter, Michael Carmody, attached five kills.

Brookdale (1-8) will travel to Bryn Mawr, PA, to face the Harcum College Bears for the second time this season on Monday, March 10th, for a 6:00pm start time.
