Men's Tennis Tops Mercer Vikings In Season Opener

West Windsor, NJ - The Brookdale men's tennis team opened the 2019 season with a road win against the Vikings of Mercer County Community College, 4-3.

In the tight match-up, the Blues recorded wins at second doubles and third and fourth singles. Sophomore Patrick Lombardi and freshman Jose Veliz played consistent and supported their team throughout individual and doubles action. Veliz cruised to his 6-0, 6-0 fourth singles match triumph as Lombardi battled and made his way back to top his opponent after a first set tie break win. 

The team will next face the Vikings of Ocean County College on the road on Wednesday, April 3rd at 3:30pm.
