Toms River, NJ - The Brookdale Community College men's soccer season came to a close after the Ocean County College Vikings knocked them out of the semifinals of the Region 19 Championship, 3-2.
The Blues were scoreless and down 0-3 until the 77:00 mark when freshman forward Oumar Diout planted an unassisted shot to the back of the net. At 83:00, sophomore defender, Timothy Bertscha, scored goal number two for the Blues with the help from freshman midfielder, Wyatt Vicente. Brookdale fought hard, but time was against them and they couldn't produce any more.
The Jersey Blues finished with a 4-9-2 overall record and 4-5 in the conference.
