Lincroft, NJ - The Brookdale Jersey Blues men's soccer team stampeded the Northampton Community College Spartans in their first win of the season, 6-2.
The Spartans scored first (15:00) and last (82:00), but the Jersey Blues were everything in between by scoring six goals in a row. Freshman midfielder, Adam Kotby, got the soccer ball rolling with Brookdale's first goal, accompanied by freshman midfielder, Wyatt Vicente. The Blues then stampeded Northampton in the second half for a solid fifteen minutes beginning with freshman defender, Jake Isaksen, cranking a shot assisted by sophomore defender, Timothy Bertscha.
At 66:05, it was Vicente who scored with the assistance from freshman forward, Alessandro Principato. Less than two minutes later, freshman midfielder, Thomas Valinotti fed freshman midfielder, Nicholas Spisak, who connected for Brookdale's fourth. Sophomore midfielder, Silverio Ortiz, came up big as he combined for two assists on the day. At 75:08, Ortiz helped Bertscha score the fifth Brookdale goal and Spisak for the sixth at the 80:00 mark.
Brookdale (1-3) will remain home for the third time this week to take on the CCBC-Catonsville Cardinals on Saturday, September 7th, at 1:00pm.
