Paramus, NJ - Brookdale men's soccer opened their 2024 season with a tough 4-3 conference loss to the Bergen Community College Bulldogs.
Sophomore defender, Timothy Bertscha (Freehold Township High School), punched an unassisted shot in the back of the net at the 24:04 mark to put the Blues on the board. Freshman midfielder, Adam Kotby (Allentown High School), netted Brookdale's second goal at 32:06 for the 2-1 lead going into the half. The Bulldogs bit back in the second half with three consecutive goals. The Jersey Blues sparked a last ditch effort and produced an unassisted goal at the 84:53 mark from freshman midfielder, Nicholas Spisak (Howell High School).
The Jersey Blues (0-1) will back on the road Friday, August 30th, to take on the Sussex County Community College Skylanders with a 12:00pm start.
