Lincroft, NJ - The Jersey Blues men's soccer team had a tough official opening day with a 2-1 loss to conference mate, Sussex County Community College.
The Blues got off to a slow start and two sloppy errors were capitalized by the Skylanders who went into the first half with a 2-0 lead. At the start of the second half, Brookdale came out on the front foot with their aggressiveness.
Sophomore midfielder, Sandro Louis, scored the lone goal for Brookdale off of a service kick from sophomore midfielder, William LaBruno. "We created multiple opportunities in the last 15 minutes of the game, but we were unable to breakthrough the Sussex defense," said Head Coach, Brad Fraley.
The Blues (0-1) remain home for their next game against the Bergen Community College Bulldogs on Saturday, September 2nd, beginning at 12:00pm.
