Baltimore, MD - After just a day of rest from their tough loss to Montgomery College, Brookdale had a battle on their hands with the CCBC Catonsville Cardinals. The teams walked away with a 0-0 double overtime tie after 110 minutes of play.
The Cardinals had the first chance of scoring off of a deflection, but sophomore goalie, Matti Tenhunen, was up for the save. Head Coach, Brad Fraley, made a few adjustments and introduced some fresh legs into the game which altered the game, creating chances to score. The Cardinals were standing their ground, sacrificing bodies to keep the Blues out of the net throughout the entire game.
Commenting on the game's outcome was Assistant Coach, Antonio Assante, "It was just one of those games. With the amount of quality opportunities we had, you see the ball going into the back of the net multiple times. It just didn't happen."
The Jersey Blues(1-2-1) will welcome the Sussex County Community College Skylanders on their home field on Tuesday, September 13th, at 3:30pm.
