Bryan Viegas Chosen For The Bob Zifchak Student-Athlete Of The Year Award
Lincroft, NJ - Men's soccer goalkeeper, Bryan Viegas, has been chosen for the Region XIX Bob Zifchak Student-Athlete of the Year Award for the Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 semesters.
Lincroft, NJ - Men's soccer goalkeeper, Bryan Viegas, has been chosen for the Region XIX Bob Zifchak Student-Athlete of the Year Award for the Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 semesters. The Long Branch native was outstanding in the goal his sophomore year, as he tallied 60 saves in just seven games.
In a modified season due to Covid-19, Viegas was selected to second team All-Region XIX, and second team All-GSAC for the 2020-2021 spring season. Viegas secured a 3.73 GPA in the classroom, and was a member of the Alpha Pi Theta society on campus.
The ROBERT ZIFCHAK SCHOLAR-ATHLETE AWARD is presented annually to a male student-athlete in Region XIX.
Criteria/Qualifications:
*must have participated in a sanctioned NJCAA sport
*must have a minimum of a 3.5 GPA and 36 credits (copy of transcript required)
*minimum of All-Conference, All-Region and/or All-American accolades
*community involvement (e.g. club memberships, office held, assisting athletic or other college departments, etc.)
