Manalapan, NJ - Sophomore goalkeeper Matthew Lionette was the star of the show during Brookdale's overtime loss to the Blue Colts of Middlesex County College, 1-0. Lionette faced 10 quality shots on goal, saving all 10 during an All-Region performance.
Middlesex capitalized on a penalty kick in the second overtime period to win the game. The Jersey Blues played a spirited game and despite taking 16 shots, could not find the back of the net.
The team will next take on the Roadrunners of Rowan College South Jersey - Gloucester on Saturday, September 21st at 12pm at Capelli Sports Complex.
