Northampton's well-organized defense proved to be a challenge to breakdown until sophomore captain, Hadi Raoofi opened the scoring in the 40th minute assisted by freshman midfielder Gabriel Vieira. Vieira's second assist came in the 59th minute, when he found freshman forward Kirk Jones, who scored his second of the season. Sophomore goalkeeper Matthew Lionette finished with nine saves as sophomore Jason Long was unbeatable at center back.
The team's record stands at 1-2. Brookdale will return to action on the road at Bergen Community College on Thursday, September 10th for a 4pm kick-off.
