Tinton Falls, NJ - Sophomore defender Connor Hansen tallied the game winning goal against the Vikings of Ocean County College in the Region XIX tournament semi-finals. Brookdale defeated Ocean in overtime, 2-1.
In the close match-up, Brookdale scored early in the first half and maintained the lead until Ocean found the back of the net to tie the game. In the first overtime period, Hansen scored the deciding goal from the penalty spot to grab the win.
The team recorded their 13th win of the season and advance to the District H finals of the Region XIX tournament on Saturday, October 27th. The Jersey Blues will face the Skylanders of Sussex County Community College. Ocean County College is hosting the match-up at 11:30am.
