Men's Soccer Earns Seventh Win Of The Season, 5-1
Lincroft, NJ- The Brookdale men's soccer team posted a 5-1 win over Union County College. With a scoreless first half, Brookdale took the lead after freshman forward Jonathan Junqueira shot the ball past the keeper, scoring the first goal of the game in the forty-ninth minute.

With a scoreless first half, Brookdale took the lead after freshman forward Jonathan Junqueira shot the ball past the keeper, scoring the first goal of the game in the forty-ninth minute. Freshman midfielder Stevenley Joseph collected the assist.
Minutes later, freshman midfielder Douglas Silva connected with the back of the net off a pass from freshman forward Guilherme DeNovaes. Freshman midfielder Alex Cella scored his sixth goal of the season in the fifty-sixth minute of the game. Jungueira added another goal for the team after receiving a ball from the foot of Joseph.
With one minute left to go in the game, sophomore forward Amin Masoomzadeh scored the fifth and final goal for the team. Freshman forward Jordan Robinson tallied the assist.
Sophomore goalkeeper Luis Aguirre collected seven saves, giving up one goal to the Union Owls.
The Jersey Blues now stand at 7-1 overall. The team returns to action at Sussex County Community College on Saturday, September 26th.
