Lincroft, NJ - Former men's lacrosse defensive midfielder, Bobby Shannon, recently signed a National Letter of intent with the Felician University Golden Falcons. In two years, Shannon appeared in a total of seven games as the Jersey Blues' 2020 season was halted after just two games due to COVID-19.
Felician University and men's lacrosse Head Coach, Brendan Bonacum, had the following words to say about Shannon:
"Bobby Shannon(Old Bridge N.J./Old Bridge) was a defensive midfielder at Old Bridge High and Brookdale Community College. The 5-foot-10, 150-pound Shannon appeared in five games for the 2019 Jersey Blues, accumulating two goals and four ground balls. He also played soccer at Old Bridge, from which he graduated in 2017. He is likely to major in communications. "Although we're glad to have Bobby bring some experience to our young defensive midfield group, we're excited about his offensive skill set as well," Bonacum said. "He has shown that, when given the chance, he can take advantage of scoring opportunities. We'll look to get him involved as much as possible, especially in transition."
Felician University is located in Rutherford N.J, and is a member of NCAA Division II and competes in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC).
