After Irvington, Fenchel made stops at Franklin High School, (where his Start-Ledger ranked teams won a Group Three Central Jersey Sectional Championship, two Somerset County Championships, and four Skyland Conference Championships), Brick Memorial High School and Manasquan High School.  Most recently, Manasquan won the program’s first-ever Group Three Central Jersey Sectional Championship, and twice made the final fours of the Shore Conference Tournament, once advancing to the Championship game.  His Manasquan teams won four “A” Central titles and, multiple times, were ranked in the top-10 in the State and in the Shore Conference. Capping off an impressive high school head coaching resume, Fenchel was named Coach of the Year in four different New Jersey counties and was inducted into the Irvington Hall of Fame. A resident of Toms River, Fenchel and his wife Michelle live with their three sons, Kurt, Kevin and Kody.
