Lincroft, NJ - Brookdale men's basketball captured their first win of the year, 73-59, against the Monroe University Bronx/Express in day-2 of their Brookdale Basketball Classic Tournament sponsored by Jersey Mike's Subs of Lincroft.
Sophomore guard, Jack Zink, was the back-to-back leading scorer for the Jersey Blues in the tournament with 16 points and three steals. Just behind him was sophomore forward, Regan Burke, with 15 points and nine rebounds. Also contributing to the win were, freshman point guard, Nyier McCain with 13 points, and sophomore guard, Bruce Gooding, with 11 points.
Brookdale (1-1) will remain on their home court to host the Lehigh Carbon Community College Cougars on Thursday, November 7th, beginning at 7:00pm.
