Brookdale Men Defeat Hostos In 1st Round At Nationals
Herkimer, NY - The #5 seeded Brookdale Community College men's basketball team are moving on to the quarterfinals of the NJCAA DIII National Championship after defeating the #12 seeded, Hostos Community College Caymans, 93-76, in the first round.

Herkimer, NY - The #5 seeded Brookdale Community College men's basketball team are moving on to the quarterfinals of the NJCAA DIII National Championship after defeating the #12 seeded, Hostos Community College Caymans, 93-76, in the first round. Three Jersey Blues earned double-doubles in the heated game.
Sophomore center, Darnell Askew, hung tough, battling 31 points and 11 rebounds with his mighty game down low. Sophomore forward, Manny Bell, notched a detrimental 24 points with 10 rebounds, and freshman forward, Savon Myers, contributed a paramount 14 points and 13 rebounds.
The Blues (27-1) will face the #4 seeded, Montgomery County Community College Mustangs for a second time this season on Thursday, March 14, with a 4:00pm start at Herkimer College.
