#1 Brookdale Defeats #8 Union In Region 19 Quarterfinals

Lincroft, NJ - The Brookdale Community College #1 seeded men's basketball team marches on in the Region 19 tournament after defeating the #8 seeded Union College Owls, 101-85, in the quarterfinals that were held in the Collins Arena.

Five Jersey Blues scored in double-figures with sophomore center, Darnell Askew, heading the crew. Askew totaled 26 points, 10 rebounds, and five blocks on the night. Sophomore forward, Manny Bell, posted 21 points, and freshman forward, Savon Myers, was once again amazing with his siuper stats of 18 points, 10 rebounds, six assists, and three blocks. Freshman guard/forward, Regan Burke, dropped 17 points, and sophomore point guard, Adam Kukaj, added 10 points. 

Brookdale will be hosting the semi-final game which will be against the #4 seeded Camden County College Cougars on Thursday, February 29th, with a 7:00pm tip-off.
