The Jersey Blues Men Trap The Harrisburg Hawks
Lincroft, NJ - With a 41-game winning streak and just one more game left to the regular season, the Brookdale Jersey Blues men's basketball team trapped themselves another opponent, the Harrisburg Area Community College Hawks, with a 113-55 victory.
Lincroft, NJ - With a 41-game winning streak and just one more game left to the regular season, the Brookdale Jersey Blues men's basketball team trapped themselves another opponent, the Harrisburg Area Community College Hawks, with a 113-55 victory.
The 24-0 Blues were led by sophomore forward, Manny Bell, who was hot from the floor with 26 points and five assists. Bell is 21st on the NJCAA DIII National Leaderboard for scoring with 462 total points so far this season. Sophomore center, Darnell Askew, is also no stranger to the National Leaderboard. Following his 19 points, 10 rebounds, and five blocks against the Hawks, he is currently listed at the #7 spot out of 496 players in blocks, #14 in offensive rebounds, and #18 in overall rebounds.
Sophomore point guard, Adam Kukaj, displayed his many skills as well, shedding 17 points, five assists, and four steals on the night. Freshman sharp shooting guard, Jack Zink, connected for 14 points, and the agile and consistent freshman forward, Phillip Byrd, hit for 10 points off the bench.
Brookdale is on the road for their final regular season game against the Montgomery County Community College Mustangs on Tuesday, February 20th, at 7:00pm.
