Brookdale Sends The Union Owls Back To Their Nest With A Loss
Lincroft, NJ - The Jersey Blues men's basketball crew sent the Union College Owls home with a 98-73 loss in conference action as Brookdale pushed their record to 11-0.
Lincroft, NJ - The Jersey Blues men's basketball crew sent the Union College Owls home with a 98-73 loss in conference action as Brookdale pushed their record to 11-0.
The Blues kept the game entertaining, tying at the half with a 41-41 score, then rocketed past the Owls at the 15 minute mark in the second half with a 29 point lead. Brookdale had four players in double figures, three scoring 20 points a piece. Freshman forward, Savon Myers, tallied his seventh double-double with 20 points, 11 steals, and five steals as sophomore Manny Bell was the second Jersey Blue to hit for 20 points while adding six assists.
Sophomore forward/center, Darnell Askew, was the third to deposit 20 points. Sophomore point guard Adam Kukaj sunk 12 points with seven assists, and freshman guard/forward, Regan Burke, helped with 11 points.
The Brookdale men will resume play after the semester break on Tuesday, January 9th, as they challenge the Montgomery County Community College Mustangs in Blue Bell, PA, beginning at 7:00pm.
