Men's Basketball Opens With Win Over Rockland In Brookdale Classic Tourney

Lincroft, NJ - The 2023 Men's Basketball National Champions continued their winning streak as they won their 2023-2024 season opener against the Rockland Community College Hawks in the Brookdale Classic Tourney, 96-85.

The Jersey Blues distributed their points nicely as sophomore forward, Manny Bell, led the Blues with 26 points. Sophomores Darnell Askew and Adam Kukaj each dropped 15 points, with Askew adding nine rebounds, three steals, and three blocks. Freshman forward, Savon Myers, opened up his Jersey Blues career with a double-double of 14 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, and three steals, and sophomore point guard, Kareem Irby, posted 13 points and seven assists.

The Jersey Blues will match up against the Monroe College Express in game-two of their tournament on Sunday, November 12th at 4:30pm in the Robert J. Collins Arena.
