Jersey Blue Men Advance To Semi's With 95-88 Win Over Ocean CC

Lincroft, NJ - The Jersey Blues men's basketball team advanced to the semifinals following an intense win over the Ocean County College Vikings in the NJCAA North Atlantic District Quarterfinals, 95-88.

Brookdale was consistently challenged by the Vikings, especially in the entire first half with their quick hands and defense, creating turnovers and frustration for the Blues. Brookdale pulled ahead by seven points at the finish of the first half and just exploded in second. Freshman guard, Nick Williams, paced the Blues with his team-high 30 points, as sophomore forward, Niles Halliburton, came up big with his 14 points. Sophomore point guard, Andre Wells, joined Halliburton in double figures with 12 points and six assists. Sophomore forward, Devin Strickland, finished with 11 points, and freshman forward, Darnell Askew, deposited 10 points in the win.

Brookdale (25-3) moves forward to the semifinals on their home court against the 21-4 Montgomery County Community College Mustangs on Thursday, March 2nd, at 7:00pm.
