Jersey Blues Men Hold Off The Ocean Vikings, 97-85
Lincroft, NJ - The Ocean County College Vikings were pesky for the Jersey Blues men's basketball team despite their 97-85 win in last night's conference match. The Vikings were a challenge from the perimeter in the first half and were just four points behind the Blues heading into the locker room. The fighting Jersey Blues made the necessary adjustments to their defense for the second half, sprinting to a 16 point lead, then holding Ocean off by 12 points for the victory.

Leading the Blues was freshman guard, Nick Williams, who posted 29 points as freshman forward, Darnell Askew, struck for his 11th double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Sophomore point guard, Kevin Mateo, scored 13 points and nine assists, as sophomore guard/forward, Devin Strickland and sophomore forward, Josiah Basket had 11 and 10 points respectively.
The 21-3 Jersey Blues host their next game home against the Borough of Manhattan CC Panthers, on Saturday, February 11th, at 1:00pm.
