Brookdale's Big Baskets Late In Game Push Away The Bulldogs For The Win
Paramus, NJ - The Jersey Blues men's basketball team continue to keep the momentum of their undefeated status (12-0) as they took down the Bergen Community College Bulldogs, 74-68. Brookdale had a few big baskets late in the game to push them ahead for the win.
Paramus, NJ - The Jersey Blues men's basketball team continue to keep the momentum of their undefeated status (12-0) as they took down the Bergen Community College Bulldogs, 74-68, with a few big baskets late in the game to push them ahead for the win.
The Blues never trailed throughout the game with a 40-33 halftime score, and despite a one-point lead with five minutes to go in the game, Brookdale held on. Contributing to the win was freshman guard and leading scorer, Andre Wells, with 19 points, and freshman forward, Niles Halliburton, had a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Also dropping 14 points was freshman guard, Coby Sylvester, and freshman forward, Devin Strickland, added 10. Freshman center, Tim Gjonballa, was big under the basket with 12 rebounds and eight blocks, as freshman guard, Kevin Mateo, chalked up 10 assists as well.
Brookdale will welcome the Dukes of RCSJ-Cumberland on Sunday, January 16th, at 2:00pm in the Robert J. Collins Arena.
