Cranford, NJ - The Blues took flight and captured the Union County Community College Owls in a 87-77 win on the road.

After a first half of back and forth exchanges, Brookdale went on a little run at the end of the first half to take a 37-32 lead, then pushed the lead to 20 points early in the second half. The Owls didn't led up as they cut the lead to six until the last two minutes of play as the Jersey Blues held onto a 10 point advantage and finishing with the win.

Sophomore guard, Fres Cabrera, was the top scorer with 23 points. The freshman class stepped up as guard, Andre Wells, dropped 19 points, forward, Ronn Flood, hit for 14, and guard, Kevin Mateo, dropped 11 points.

The Jersey Blues (2-0) will host the Atlantic Cape Community College Buccaneers on Tuesday, November 23rd, at 7:00pm.
