Lincroft, NJ - The Jersey Blues men won their third game in a row Tuesday night against the Mighty Oaks of Salem Community College, 83-60, increasing their record to 5-5.
Lincroft, NJ - The Jersey Blues men won their third game in a row Tuesday night against the Mighty Oaks of Salem Community College, 83-60, increasing their overall record to 5-5.
The Blues opened up the game with a quick 18-2 run and kept their comfortable lead of 40-26 heading into the locker room at the half. Deep into the second half, Brookdale allowed Salem to creep within the score margin of six, but the Blues restored and pulled away with the win.
The top scorers for Brookdale were freshman forward Jelani Carter with 18, and freshman guard Beyon Wilson with 14 points, five blocks, and three awe-inspiring dunks. Freshman guard/forward Allen Ozojie penciled in his third double-double of the season with 10 points, 14 rebounds, and six blocks. It must also be noted that two freshman guards, Ian Felix, and Deondre Smith, had six assists a piece.
Brookdale will play their last game of the semester at home on Thursday, December 19th @ 7:00pm, against the Sussex County Community College Skylanders (3-9).
